Short Bio

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the School of English Language and Literature at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I completed my PhD in English Literature and Culture at the same institution in 2023, supported by a full scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). I hold an MA in Modern and Contemporary Literature, Culture and Thought from the University of Sussex (UK), and a BA in English Language and Literature from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

My doctoral thesis, Becoming Alice: Critical Posthumanist Readings of Contemporary Screen Reimaginings of Lewis Carroll’s Alice, examines critical posthumanism, narrative theory, and adaptation in children’s literature and screen media. My research has been presented at international conferences, and I continue to develop interdisciplinary work that brings literary studies into dialogue with broader cultural and theoretical questions. Alongside my university work, I also serve as a Research Associate at LANGUAGECERT.

My research interests include critical posthumanist theory and posthumanism, children’s literature, adaptation studies, film studies, gender studies, Victorian literature, and the fantastic.
